The Thornton Invitational was a good challenge for the 'Dogs. A nice, tough 4A/5A meet with only a handful of 3A teams. We like the challenge!
The 'Dogs get camp set up, then start the race preparations. No - it's not time for taping ankles & wrapping things, it's time for paw prints, hair ribbons & wings to sprout! C'mon! What were you thinking?
The guys are up first today, and all of them run together. Today we'll run as a big group for a mile, then start working our way up. It's time to reinforce our pack mentality and help some of the younger runners pick up the pace.

The guys finish up with some strong sprints at the end of their race, then quickly get together with the girls to go over strategy and give 'em encouragement. Here we go!
The girls work thru to the end, led by Jenna passing two of the top 10 runners to finish 5th on the day! It was pretty tough competition today.....but so were we. The boys team finishes 6th out of 19 teams, easily the top 3A team at the Meet. The girls team finishes 8th out of 16, as the #2 3A team.
And now, as we said last week, we worked our way thru a tough week of training, a tough meet and some sore & strained muscles. Now it's time to head home, enjoy the Homecoming football game & the rest of the festivities.
Well done, 'Dogs. Well done Bulldogs TEAM.
